We are very excited to welcome Mrs. Miriam and Rabbi Noach Karp and their family to the Aish Center for a special Shabbat program Dec. 5th-6th. 

The Karps recently moved to Baltimore from Memphis, Tenn. (and before that, Providence, R.I.), where they worked extensively in Jewish outreach.  We are planning to introduce regular weekday and periodic Shabbat programs with the Karps. 

Please join us for what promises to be a lively and interesting Shabbat. 

On Friday, Kabbalat Shabbat services will start at 4:25 p.m., dinner at 6. Hang out and schmooze after dinner starting around 8:30 p.m. (open to everyone!).

The Karps moved to Baltimore last summer to be near family and more schooling options for their children. Rabbi Karp spent the previous 15+ years working in Jewish community engagement and education, much of it with teens, in Providence and Memphis.

Rabbi Karp, aka the Spartan Rabbi, trains for and runs in outdoor obstacle-course "Spartan Races," speaks publicly about his life with Crohn's disease, and strives to always be improving himself. He earned a degree in rabbinical law from the New England Rabbinical College and spent many years in rabbinic roles in Columbus, Ohio; Sharon, Mass.; and Providence.

Rabbi Karp and his wife, Miriam, an occupational therapist, have eight children ranging in age from 16 months to 17 years.
